"Affliction" for contrabass solo (2018)
Work written in the memory of the victims of the great fire at Mati resort, Greece in July 2018. It is dedicated to French contrabassist Thierry Barbé, principal contrabass in Paris Opera Symphony Orchestra and professor in Paris Conservatory (Conservatoire National Superiere de Musique et de Danse de Paris), who actually was the motive for this composition. It is based on: a. a 11tone row with D as supplementary, b. Thierry Barbé letter-name notes and c. perfect 4th interval.
